4th Street Fantasy Conversation…
continues June 24-26, 2011 in Minneapolis, MN

With 2011 wrapped up, feel encouraged to join us again next year.

As usual, during the course of conversing, a number of wonderful quotes and books were referenced and recorded in this LiveJournal post. Please feel encouraged to continue any/all of the discussions there.

Once again the 4th Street Fantasy Society is planning a gathering of readers, writers, editors, and supporters of quality fantasy literature who will continue the best conversation on the block at:

4th Street Fantasy Conversation
June 24-26, 2011
Doubletree Hotel
Minneapolis MN

The best of our tradition continues with a single-track program in which panels begin discussions that are continued by everyone in the room. 4th Street is not a spectator sport! We are all an integral part of the discussions and the decision-making.

With only days before our Conversation begins, here are a few things you might want to know:

  • Our Con festivities will once again warm up with a group play reading Thursday at 8 PM. Tom Stoppard's absurdist farce, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead may not tell us what Shakespeare intended for these obscure characters in Hamlet, but does give us a chance to play with words. Come to the Program Room (Courtyard Ballrooms) to join the fun of sharing this tale.
  • Friday at 7 PM come to the ConSuite for an Opening Reception. You are invited to bring a sample of your preferred libation to complement the appetizers.
  • Information about the Writers' Seminar with schedule and leaders' bios is available at the Seminar page.
  • The Con schedule with panel topics and scheduled panelists is on the Programming page. Take a look.
  • We are looking forward to seeing you there!
