How to Help

    Many hands make light work.

The best part about 4th Street is that it belongs to all of us. Every person who helps with our Fantasy Convention becomes a deeper part of the community. Whether you volunteer formally or you just lend a helping hand here and there, the offer of time and talent is always fully appreciated. Here are some ways to help.

Be an Advocate

Be a Volunteer

    Before the convention:
  • Registration Coordination
  • Publication Assistance
  • ConSuite Coordination
  • Transportation Coordination
  • Minnesota Gopher [Go for this and that]
    At the convention:
  • Setting up
  • Transportation Assistance
  • Registration Assistance
  • Program Monitor
  • ConSuite Hosts
  • Dealer Assistance
  • Hotel Logistics
  • Clearing out

Be an Angel

Every year, 4th Street has been helped by a few "angels," people who help pay the way of members who otherwise could not afford to attend. Often this assistance in is the form of frequent flier miles or frequent-stay hotel benefits.

We're hoping to continue the "angel" tradition in 2010.

You can help. One way is by bringing a guest with you to the convention, someone you think would be a real asset to the gathering. You can do this entirely on your own, without our help.

The second way you can help is by getting in touch with our discreet Angel Coordinator. The Coordinator knows who may need help in order to attend the con. You can be as anonymous as you wish.
