Getting To The Convention
I’ve created a page that covers Directions and Parking and stuff like that. Have updated it and updated it some more and I imagine I’ll update it another time before the convention starts. Hope this is in time to be useful.
The page has directions to the hotel, parking info, links to bus and light rail info, hotel shuttle schedule, links to Department of Transportation sites where you can find info on road closures, and so on.
I still need to confirm the hotel shuttle schedule with the hotel, I’ll do that on Thursday. Will note it in the shuttle section once I’ve confirmed it.
If you have info on road closures or detours that would be helpful, please note them in comments on this post or send them in via the web form. If you’re driving to the convention and will be traveling through areas affected by flooding, I recommend checking with the appropriate Department of Transportation website to see which roads and bridges are closed or restricted.

I’d recommend adding walking directions from the Light Rail station. (I posted them to LJ last week or so.)

There will be disruptions in light rail between 46th St and Ft Snelling that might affect anyone commuting to the con Sat or Sun am.

The light rail disruption has been rescheduled. Whew!
MetroTransit says:
Weekend rail shutdown postponed
Earlier this week, Metro Transit announced that a section of the Hiawatha light-rail line would be closed this weekend (June 21 and June 22) to allow a contractor to work on an apartment building next to the track.
That construction activity was cancelled for this weekend. It will be rescheduled likely for next weekend (June 28 and 29).
An update will be posted here when details are available.
Thank you for riding with us.
